I have gone with a weak back, but a strong heart<br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">What kind of training did you put in for the pageant?</span><br />Sabira Merchant helped me with my diction; Anjali Mukherjee helped me shape and tone my body; Jamuna Pai took care of my skin; and I have received tips on make-up and hair-care from Bharat and Dorris Godambe. Despite my back problem, I went through a tough training regimen. Besides, I have done a whole lot of reading on a variety of subjects.<br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">And what about the style statement you will make at the pageant?</span><br />My three suitcases are packed with designer-wear — there''s Ritu Kumar; Ashley Rebello; And by Anita Dongre; and Ixtapa for casuals. I am carrying enough clothes to see me through my long stay in the Philippines. And my back is not going stop me from strutting around in highheeled Regal shoes! <br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">How high is your confidence level for the contest?</span><br />Very high! In fact, I am bubbling with enthusiasm. What has boosted my spirits further is the support I have received from people in India. Till minutes before I boarded the aircraft for the Philippines, my cellphone was beeping, with wellwishers calling up to encourage me. I''m also very glad that Arindam, my boyfriend flew down all the way from Kolkata to see me off. It''s such a great high to have people backing you up everywhere. I might be on my own in the Philippines, but I am prepared. And I know that everyone back home will be rooting for me. I will concentrate all my energy on winning the crown for India. I believe that if you dare to dream, your dreams definitely come true. </div> </div>
